The money is in the follow-up

We are happy to be helping our users meet new and exciting contacts. But the fact is that a one-time lunch meeting will not help to establish a deep and mutually profitable relationship. The money is in fact in the follow-up.

Our recommendation is to regularly “gograblunch” with the new contacts you meet through our service (through of course). I would suggest having a follow-up lunch about 3-6 weeks after your initial meeting. This is long enough that you are not being creepy, but short enough that you are fresh on each others mind. Regular contact is the way to build trust and therefore a business relationship.

Follow-up lunches are a great time to begin discussing what kind of contacts each person is looking for. It is also the time to discuss how you can help each other’s business grow. is not just about connecting with people you have never met. That is of course a primary purpose, but we also see users using our site to schedule follow-up lunches with their new and existing contacts.

After all the money is in the follow-up.
