Treat em like family

Writing a blog post from a hospital room is new for me. My maternal grandmother has been battling some issues and all indications point to a stroke. Frankly they thought she was gone. Which got me thinking…

Why is it that we treat our business contacts better than our family? I know personally that I am more apt to do what I think I should in order to please contacts. But with my family, well there are no obligations. That’s just backwards.

In reality we need to treat everyone the same. Do what is expected of you if it’s moral and legal. Or better said – treat others (all “others”) as you wish to be treated.

Wouldn’t the business world work smoother if that were the case?
