Forget the National Debt

Once again a post that is not about networking. It’s more important.

Standard & Poor has downgraded the United States from it’s long time AAA rating to AA+. Far be it from me to educate you on all the consequences this could have. In response the Dow fell 600+ points to under 11k.

For the past twenty fours hours I have heard a variety of people express their distain for how the government has handled the situation. By no means do I disagree with the opinion that things could be handled better.

But the levity of the situation got me thinking. Would it be surprising if those same commentators had trouble balancing their own budget? Do they even do a budget?

So before you start ranting about the government and our national debt, make sure you have your own house in order.
